OUR HISTORY

Jackson Global has come a long way since it first set up operations Singapore since 1975.

Originally a trading and retail company with its roots in interior furnishings, it set its sights on the carpet wholesale and distribution business, and has never looked back. The company evolved to become Jackson Carpets. A second company, Jackson Furnishing, was also incorporated in those early years. Jackson Furnishing ventured into the manufacturing of roller blinds, and as demand grew, soon expanded its production to a variety of window treatments and accessories. Later, the company developed its own motorised window products and quickly recognised the new prospects and vast opportunities in the area of smart home technology. Automated systems, with all the attendant benefits, will increasingly become a feature of future homes and offices. Hence, the company’s focus has since been on the research, development and marketing of home, office and building automation systems.

In the middle of 2008, a major restructuring and branding exercise amalgamated Jackson Carpets and Jackson Furnishing. Jackson Global was established. To cap this milestone, the merged entity moved into its very own building, the Jackson Design Hub, at Tai Seng Street.

Over the years, Jackson Global has built a strong presence in countries around the world. It is in Southeast Asia (Brunei, Indonesia Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand), North Asia (China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan), South Asia (India, the Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Sri Lanka), North America (Canada, the USA), the Middle East, Australia and Brazil.

The company has two factory facilities based in China. It set up Jackson Dongguan in 1992 to manufacture and export hand-tufted acrylic rugs. Another facility was opened in 1998 at Qingdao to manufacture chromojet-printed nylon carpets, making it the first computerised jet printing carpet manufacturer in China. In 2003, a second factory was built in Dongguan to cater to the increasing demand for Jackson carpets. At present, Jackson Global has over a thousand employees worldwide.
